2017 Grant Guidelines and Application

Accepting applications through May 12th

Since 1974, the Lake Oswego Women’s Club (LOWC) has raised funds in excess of $2 million, most of which are dispersed to local non-profits to build a stronger community. Thanks to our annual fund-raising events, LOWC is able to provide a number of grants each year to various Portland Metro area non-profits, the majority of which support women and children in need. Each year, LOWC considers it’s grant guidelines, grant-making priorities, and estimated fundraising income for the year when determining whether to have an open grant application process.

Grant candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Be registered with the IRS as a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations.

  2. Be locally active in the Portland area, preferably supporting women, children, and or families.

  3. The LOWC prefers to donate to a specific purpose as opposed to a General Fund.

  4. The LOWC does not fund or endorse all-faith inclusive projects run by religious institutions, but may contribute to local, all-community inclusive projects run by said institutions.

  5. Operating expenses must be documented as being under 20% of budget.

  6. Completed applications can be submitted one of two ways and must be received by May 12th:
